Salary: $95k - $115k AUD + Superannuation (negotiable)

We’re looking for an experienced leader of Teaching & Learning, particularly someone who has developed teaching through Instructional Coaching. You should be well versed in contemporary educational research, pedagogy and leadership, with a particular focus on understanding the best ways to help teachers to improve their practice and learn effectively. Experience of having participated in and/or led a whole-school coaching programme is desirable. You should be as comfortable engaging in educational research around how teachers learn as you are working with school leaders and coaches.
Considerable experience in operations (logistics, administration, event organisation) is also desirable. As the second employee of Steplab Australia, this will be a diverse role requiring a flexible and fast-learning candidate.

Finally, we equip T&L leaders with the content & knowledge to build their own highly effective shared language to drive Instructional Coaching and teacher development.
Steplab is a UK based company now working in over 6000 schools. Steplab Australia launched in early 2023 and saw phenomenal growth in its first year down under, partnering with over 50 schools and running workshops for more than 1000 Australian teachers and leaders. 2024 is set to be another stellar year with the launch of the first cohort of the Certificate in Coaching Leadership and significant growth of the platform expected.
By joining as the second employee of Steplab Australia, you will be working closely alongside Steplab Australia Director, Ollie Lovell, and there will be significant opportunities for growth, development, promotion, and leadership opportunities as the organisation grows.
A large part of this role will involve meeting with school leaders to understand their needs and find solutions for how Steplab can help. Whether through our innovative platform or our bespoke training support, your role is to ensure school leaders are provided with everything they need to fully understand the functionality and support offered by Steplab to help them implement great PD that really works.
Another significant aspect of your role will be supporting the implementation of the Certificate in Coaching Leadership and supporting participants within it.
